With climate change, disappearing wildlife and encroaching palm oil plantations, things in Sumatra have gotten pretty desperate. Our "Reclaiming Sumatra" project is currently focused on equipping and training elephant-mounted Mahout rangers, creating a hardwood reforestation nursery, and supporting farmers in getting the title to their own farmlands.

ASOBAGRI coop's Young Farmer program in Guatemala offers business management, computer skills and new farming techniques. This year we are helping implement a fruit tree reforestation program to both counter a warming planet, and to also allow for financial diversification by selling value-added products from the fruit trees.

Cervical cancer is the number one cancer killer of women in Ethiopia. Together with Sidama Cooperative and Grounds for Health, we have implemented a community-based cervical cancer detection and treatment program. To date, this program has screened over 8,500 women in Ethiopia, successfully treated 783 women, and trained 25 clinicians to continue this important work in-country.
