A real wild card. Washed, but the drying leaves different coloring on the beans. Earthy and fruity. Give it a try (we prefer it dark).

Love the PNG

I love PNG coffee. I am an Ethiopian coffee freak and Bolivian coffee freak as well, but love my PNG, Peruvian and Guatemalan beans. This PNG is one of my favorites out of all the suppliers in which I use. I prefer this one roasted on the light to medium side as you have more complexity, more fullness and a wider spectrum of flavor. Plus, a little more caffeine in lighter roasts - what's not to love!
I also love your Ethiopian and Peruvian beans. Light and powerful. :)

Thanks Richard!

Danky and Complex

PNG is my favorite region as well as Indonesia (Sumatra). When I start looking at buying beans from a new supplier I always try their PNG first...if they have them..... okay so I'm a PNG junkee. These Dean's Beans, although microscopically more acidic than others I have bought, contain that complex, low acidic, earthy, dankyness I love in a coffee. As a homebrewer I use a nut brown ale to get people to switch from crappy, commercial beer to craft brewing. This is my nut brown ale. Skeptical hard-core dark roast drinkers are pleasantly surprised at the complexity this bean has at a light to medium roast level. I like mine 1 to 2 minutes into first crack. I've roasted them into FC+ and beyond but prefer them just a touch in between. I roast on a Fresh Roast SR800. Blow your friend's minds or keep them for yourself. Roast On!
