Donating 1,000 Pounds of Coffee to Those In Need

We are living in difficult and unprecendented times right now.

For many of us, our morning coffee routine is essential to a feeling of normalcy in our day. When our worlds get upended, trying to maintain as much "normal" as we can becomes imperative! So, can a simple pound of coffee make a world of difference? We'd like to think so.

Announcing our "Thousand Pounds of Light" campaign! By donating a pound of coffee to people really struggling right now, we hope to help ease the pain of the crisis while showing some extra love and compassion - shining some light during what is a dark period in many of our coworkers, family members, friends, and neighbors lives.

We are donating 1,000 pounds of freshly roasted, organic coffee to those whose jobs and livelihoods have been directly impacted by COVID-19.

Here is where you come in! You tell us the name of someone who has been hit hard by this pandemic, and we will send them coffee.

A pound of coffee will not cure this virus, nor allow you to return to your job any quicker, but it can really help to know someone cares about you, as an individual.

And to not have to give up a quality cup of fresh roasted coffee? Well, that is just pure joy.

Here is how to nominate someone:

• Email the name of someone directly impacted by COVID-19 and deserving of free coffee to 1000lbsoflight@deansbeans.com

• Include their name, address and a brief note about how this person has been impacted

• Optional: include a personal note to the recipient (or choose to remain anonymous)

Nominations will be accepted until we hit 1,000 pounds donated.
