Our social and environmental initiatives are the lifeblood of our company, and coffee is the vehicle that allows us to contribute and take action.

When the founder, Dean Cycon, retired in the summer of 2023, he sold the business to the employees and Dean’s Beans became a 100% worker owned cooperative. After two years, employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to apply to purchase a membership share and become a co-owner of the company. Our solid team is committed to carrying on the company legacy of putting people and the planet before profit. And, we are profitable!
