Real Coffee Talk- A Pricing Update

Our prices have just gone up and we want you to hear about it directly from us.
Here’s the scoop – 

As you know, we’ve always prioritized paying farmers equitably while keeping our prices as fair as possible for you. The cost of green coffee beans has surged between 30% and 100% in less than a year. OUCH. 

Why? Climate impacts and shifting weather patterns are hitting coffee-growing regions hard. Severe droughts in Brazil and Vietnam (the top two coffee producers) have led to much smaller harvests, while global coffee consumption continues to rise.
Less supply + higher demand = rising prices.

Let’s be clear—coffee farmers are not the problem. For generations, the price of coffee has remained low, leaving many farmers struggling to make ends meet. That’s why Dean’s Beans remains committed to paying farmers fair prices and investing in their communities. By purchasing only 100% Fair Trade, organic, shade-grown coffee, we ensure that farmers receive the compensation they deserve, to help their communities thrive, not just survive. Our recent price increase reflects this unwavering commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and the well-being of the farmers who grow our coffee.

As difficult as it is, we’ve had to adjust our pricing to keep our worker-owned cooperative sustainable and continue providing the high-quality coffee you love. We're reintroducing a tiered pricing model to help stabilize costs and avoid drastic future changes, while staying true to our mission.

For those of you who love our Sweet Justice cocoa and chocolate products, the cocoa market is also experiencing skyrocketing prices, so we’ve had to adjust prices there as well.

But here’s what’s NOT changing: 

☕ You’re still getting a full 16-ounce pound of coffee in every bag (while others have downsized to 12 or 10 ounces).
☕ 10% Subscription discounts are still available to keep your coffee flowing and more affordable.
☕ You’re still supporting ethical sourcing, environmental sustainability, and getting incredible flavor with every cup.

We know price increases are never easy, and we truly appreciate your continued support.
