Dean Cycon, founder of Dean's Beans, will be among six honorees out of seven hundred nominees for the Williams College Bicentennial Medal, awarded annually to Willams alumni for distinguished service in any sphere. The college is recognizing Dean for his commitment to using business as a vehicle for progressive social change. Other recipients at the September 6 ceremony will include :
· Dickinson R. Debevoise, Senior Judge for the U.S. District Court of New Jersey
· Mayda A. Del Valle, slam poetry writer and performer
· Michael J. Govan, director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
· Eugene C. Latham, president of the world's largest organization of orphanages
· Susan C. Schwab, U.S. (Free, not Fair) Trade Representative.
