Beth Spong
Beth Spong is CEO of Dean's Beans Organic Coffee, a 33-year-old Fair Trade, organic coffee company that uses specialty coffee as a vehicle for positive change. Since joining in 2022, she has led strategy, operations, and partnerships, and played a pivotal role in the company's successful transition to a 100% worker-owned cooperative following founder Dean Cycon's retirement.

Beth brings decades of leadership across the nonprofit and business sectors, with deep expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, and team alignment. As a consultant and senior leader, she has guided organizations through growth, complexity, and transformation—tripling donor bases, expanding revenue, and strengthening infrastructure and impact.

At Dean's Beans, she oversees farmer relationships and community development initiatives in coffee-producing countries, ensuring that investments in social, economic, and environmental projects are farmer-led and mission-aligned. Under her leadership, the company earned a B Impact Score of 168.5, the highest among B Corp-certified coffee companies globally.

Beth is known for her systems thinking, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to equity. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and continues to champion business as a force for good.
