Way up in the hills of Guatemala, Dean
was floored by how tuned-in the farmers were to the birds flitting through
their coffee trees. They knew what many folks are just waking up to now: no
birds, no balance. The native fruit and hardwood shade trees and feathered
friends weren’t extras; they were part of the coffee crew!
That stuck with us. We were bird-friendly
before Bird Friendly was even a certification, not because it was trendy,
but because it was just plain common sense. Healthy forests, happy birds, rich
biodiversity = better coffee. Simple as that.
This blend honors the farmers and their
feathered partners who share the canopy and keep the balance. Smooth, bright,
and lively, like a morning chorus in your mug.
Drink up… and keep your ears open, you
might just hear the birds thanking you.
Packaged and shipped out the same day as roasting!
Complex and integrated, huggable plushy toy bear structure with a nose of zesty red grapefruit up front, rich, satiny full and elegantly medium-dark cocoa dusted truffle-like mouthfeel, round, soft, nutty, with high tones of pie crust, savory green thyme and cooling eucalyptus, and deep rich dark chocolate and syrupy black cherry cane soda undertones. Very smooth and powerfully hazelnutty comfort-sipper, sweet, little acidity. Then long, resonant, drying macadamia nut finish, with a wave that keeps going of clove and some velvety smooth cocoa powder hints — on and on.
Local coffee shop uses this brand and we are OBSESSED! Definitely recommend anything from Deans Beans!!
This is the type of coffee that they had at MWCC, back in 2016. I always go for it now, and the birdwatchers is the one I choose to drink the most. :)
This was the first Dean’s Beans I ever had. It’s still a favorite.
A smooth beginning to the day in support of the birds that thrive in the canopy above the coffee.
Whenever I grind some beans for a morning cup of coffee, my wife is drawn into the kitchen, transported on a fragrant cloud – and she is a tea drinker!
A wonderful cup of coffee.
This is one of the beans I get every month when I order Dean's, it is a good all-day bean with a nice touch of nutty flavor.
I like the idea that it saves the forests and tastes good besides
very smooth, not bitter
Get flavors good to wake up to.
I have been buying for years. I love most of the flavors. I didn't love the taste or aftertaste.
Go to morning coffee bean. Consistently good.
