Best coffee out there!

Shade grown, bird friendly, co-op supporting, organic. And tastes better than any coffee around. Yes it's true! Conscious coffee! Thank you Dean & co fir bringing shade grown coffee to market. The health food stores here in Denver seem to have dropped shade grown coffees, sadly. Thus, I found Dean's! Now you have too! Ahhhhh. Delicious.

I've been purchasing this coffee for a few years now because I wanted organic, fair trade, and to support local business. Plus not many hazelnut coffees taste nearly as naturally good as this. But recently I heard an interview on the American Birding Association's podcast (because I'm a major bird-nerd) with a phd in avian ecology who works at The Smithsonian. She runs their Bird Friendly coffee program. Fascinating interview, convinced me to only buy Bird Friendly. So I thought, oh no, I really like Dean's Beans but I'm really liking this Bird Friendly idea. Prepared to quit Dean's, I checked on their website and was BEYOND THRILLED to find out my favorite coffee IS INDEED Bird Friendly certified. Yey Dean's, THANK YOU!

it was good

This, in a cold brew pitcher, tiny splash of unsweetened almond milk: my favorite coffee ever. It doesn't have any of the bitterness of a dark roast; the hazelnut flavoring enhances the natural nuttiness of the coffee beans; and of course there are no worries about the health effects of any chemicals or any ethical qualms. I drink other flavors/beans too, but I always come back to this one.
