This Coffee's Story

Our very first blend, and still a fan favorite
after all these years. It started life as a twist on the world’s oldest coffee
blend, Moka Java—but with a Dean’s Beans upgrade. Instead of Ethiopian, we
paired full-bodied Sumatran with a bold Nicaraguan French Roast. The result? A
chocolatey richness that hits all the right notes.

Fun fact: back in the day, we called it Mocha
Sumatra. But folks kept asking if it was a chocolate-flavored coffee (Nope!
Just naturally chocolatey tones from the beans themselves). To clear things up,
we gave it the classic spelling: Moka Sumatra.
