This Coffee's Story

Our very first blend, and still a fan favorite
after all these years. It started life as a twist on the world’s oldest coffee
blend, Moka Java—but with a Dean’s Beans upgrade. Instead of Ethiopian, we
paired full-bodied Sumatran with a bold Nicaraguan French Roast. The result? A
chocolatey richness that hits all the right notes.

Fun fact: back in the day, we called it Mocha
Sumatra. But folks kept asking if it was a chocolate-flavored coffee (Nope!
Just naturally chocolatey tones from the beans themselves). To clear things up,
we gave it the classic spelling: Moka Sumatra.

My husband's favorite

With each order, we have bought a variety of coffees, just to try them out. Finally, after several years, my husband has decided that this is his favorite coffee of all of them (though the Contractor's Brew comes a close second). Non acidic, smooth taste and after taste... all the qualities my husband prefers.
