Rattlesnake Gutter Brew

Unjustly maligned rattlesnakes are "extremely intelligent," "accurate decision makers," and like to hang out together. So it is fitting that this marvelous coffee should bear the name of this beautiful, smart, intuitive nonhuman personage. Although a rattlesnake can bond with a human animal, it is neither legal nor kind to bring a rattlesnake into your home as a companion animal. You can, however, welcome this superb coffee into your home, In fact, it is highly recommended that you do so! Love your Rattkesnake!

This blend is superb: you get precisely the satisfaction of the senses for which you come to coffee. Everything about this coffee is exquisitely right! I've been away from Dean's Beans and the joy of this compassionate, bird-friendly coffee, as I fought a skirmish with Covid-19. I survived -- and one of the delights I reclaimed was this superlative brew! (Yes, coffee and compassion matter,) Thank you, Dean's Beans! <3

I was intrigued by this blend of coffee and to be honest the name of it. This coffee blend did not disappoint ! It is by far my new favorite!

Been drinking this blend for over 5 years just about every single morning and never get tired of it. Try other blends or brands? Go back to this. It's a deep flavored coffee that is somewhere between a dark and blonde brew, with hints of chocolate and toffee.

Coffee is very personal, so here is how we make and drink it:

Grind in our cheap electric grinder until it looks about right
French press + electric hot water kettle (coffee, any coffee, no longer tastes right in anything but a press)
Let stand for a few minutes and plunge
Half n half + cane sugar (we like the extra flavor of the trace molasses)

(Yes, we are savages that ruin coffee with half n half and sugar)

The other way I really enjoy it is hot to cold brew for the Summer. Do the same process as above in the morning and let it sit on the counter. Get home and pour it into a bottle in the fridge. Much stronger and different flavor, but still great with some half n half and sugar.

Anyway, we order at least half a dozen bags at a time.

Extraordinary blend. The components work perfectly. The smokiness is marvelous and the deep sweetness reminds my palate of a divine 99% cacao chocolate bar that is one of my not-so-guilty pleasures: in indescribably deep and exquisite full-bodied sweetness. The depth and complexity of the blend's three components are totally satisfying..

This is one of our favorite blends - and my husband's very favorite from Dean's Beans. While we've tried a good number of other blends, we keep coming back to this one because of the fantastic flavor.

I've ordered this coffee for years, sometimes trying another blend at the same time. No matter which blend(s) I try, I keep coming back to this one. I may try other blends in the future but for now, this is my one and only.

This is my husband's favorite coffee. It is the only coffee that he raves about. I don't generally like dark roast coffee, but even I have to say that this makes an excellent cup.

This has everything in one beautiful cup. Many of Dean's blends are dark (and wonderfully so) but this blend is closer to Medium (it's marked Medium-Dark). I like the change of pace, and the morning dance on my tongue is muy bueno!
